Oh wow. They look furry! :) I did have a hoya bloom for me once. It's generally treated as a green houseplant here so it was unexpected. I have no idea what I did to it to make it bloom. Probably forgot to water it for a month and gave it an existential fright.
@narayani I know it wasn't your intention - it is just so "close to home" for me as I am watching my Dad's garlic struggling in the severe dry wind so I can so much relate!
I'm sure by thinking of your Mum she is with you and seeing her plant in bloom.
