Liz

Today I met Liz and her amazing fabric store. And I pushed myself a little and asked if I could take a photo, and kept going til I got one I liked. But not long enough to get one where the lines of the shelving were straight.
That's an awesome portrait. Love the fabrics and colours behind her wtih all the lines - I think there is so much colour and pattern to look at that it doesn't really matter about the shelves being straight - I didn't even notice until I read your text

@seacreature Thanks Desi. I remember you saying you really struggled to take portraits not that long ago, and now you’re an absolute star! I’m hoping I can get more comfortable with the process.

She has some beautiful fabric, lovely colours and designs. I'm still not comfortable with portraits :)

I stalled at no. 3 of my hundred strangers - but I'm sure the more you do the easier it gets. The only way is up! Did you find some fabric too?

@anniesue let’s hope it gets easier! Maybe set yourself a new goal of 7 - a week of portraits - less intimidating than 100! There was SO much beautiful fabric - it’s a shame I can’t sew.

@merrelyn so @anniesue and I aren’t the only ones.

This is a wonderful portrait, good for you! Definitely not something I’m comfortable with. I love all that fabric, but I really love her hair. I’m assuming that’s her natural gray/silver hair. So striking.

@beckyk365 it’s gorgeous isn’t it! She was telling us that when she is in India (twice a year in buying trips) everywhere she goes she is stopped and asked to be in photographs!
