Peppermint Tree by narayani

Peppermint Tree

Yesterday I took a break from my “bread and butter” line and threw some pieces for my wildflower project. Today I embossed the flowers onto them...
This looks really interesting. Can't wait to see the finished item

It must be hard to have to wait so long before you can fire it. Is there a reason for not firing these in an electric or gas powered kiln?

That looks so amazing, what a great idea. I am interested in the answer to the above as well ;-)

@merrelyn @ludwigsdiana I will do the first (bisque) firing in an electric kiln, but the final firing will be a pit firing. It will be hard to wait!!

@narayani Why is firing banned till next year Narayani, it seems so unfair ;-)

@ludwigsdiana the “pitfiring” is an open firing (that I do in a barrel) as in a proper outdoor, wood fuelled fire. With our hot, dry summers, there is too much risk of flying embers.
