The first time I ate pesto, I wasn't wowed by it. As a matter of fact, I shied away from it thinking that it was just a bunch of old world heehaw that took an acquired taste.
My wife was craving for it one time and I was sort of apprehensive about it, but hey, I didn't have a say on that, did I? We went to this cheap place known for good pasta and ordered some pesto and stromboli. Then I was mildly surprised to see what I was missing when I took the first bite. Good pesto is really good especially if the ingredients are well balanced. All I need to do now is source the ingredients and try making it myself.
Yes, there is a moral to this. F*ck first impressions. :D
Pesto is like, one of my staples. :D We grow basil in our backyard so I like to make it myself. It's super easy and super delicious! This is a fab shot - I love how you framed it.
