Every year the Thames Festival is held on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. The festival is about food, drink, dance, music, art, the Thames itself and anything else people want to include - from what I can see.
The Festival is great fun. I started on Southwark Bridge where two huge banqueting tables had been laid out right across the bridge. There was one on each side of the road. People buy all sorts of exotic food in the tents on the road leading to the bridge. Then they just take a place at the table and have fun eating with... well, the rest of London!
Photographer, writer, teacher :: Live honestly. Progress through knowledge. Achieve by teaching. Communicate in writing. Speak in pictures. Every day, improve the world a little...
This looks like a lot of fun. The sign controlled zone is kind of funny there. Is it to control the crowd and keep them orderly? Bit then again it is after 11 am, so I guess everyone can do as they please :-)
Thanks for sharing. I have heard of this festival and now I got to see a glimpse of it.
cool view down the middle of the table. Exotic? in NZ we have the wildfoods fair where you can eat everything from huhu grubs to possum...here they eat 'wild' foods as snacks-lol.
