Definitely something different last time! I think a lot of people got caught by that one! It was in fact an Opteka Honeycombe Grid. This little baby is strapped onto the front of your off-camera flash. It is used to ensure that the flash goes only in one, tight direction. It is the opposite of a diffuser. It directs the light rather than diffuses it. Well, this was a difficult one. As always the scale thow people off. This part actually measures about 30mm across. So you are looking at about a quarter of the whole thing. Even so, it is a common item in photographic circles. Here is a picture...

Ann H. LeFevre got closest. She should be commended for a clever interpretation. Nice one Ann!

summerfield - is this part of an SD card? There, i got sucked into guessing it. I've seen this somewhere though i just couldn't place it right now. Net says:-->> An SD card with holes in! Interesting. LOL... Nice try, but not quite there.
karenann - Some kind of air filter. I know. I failed miserably AGAIN! Net says:-->> Plausible - but no! Good effort tho'.

Paula x2 Brumbe - fancy straw sculpture that is in the shape of a window to represent that open areas will suck the life out of you if you stand too close. Net says:-->> Intriguing but Oooops! No!
marlboromaam - I agree with Karenann. Looks like my heat pump filter for the air intake. Sure is unusual! Net says:-->> Sure ain't unusual! Seen in nearly every camera shop and photographic studio in the land. Grin.
Sue Wilde -
@nana I'm with Nancy...this is definitely the underside of your bed of nails...now get onto it and suffer. Net says:-->> Tsk! Tsk! Difficult this one then? LOL.
Shirley Chetwynd - ummm is it the door to a microwave oven Net says:-->> Oh! Good effort! But no! LOL...
Kathy A - Some sort of filter? Net says:-->> Some sort of no! LOL. Plausible.
Bonnie Lusted - Nice pattern shot. This is a grid of some kind....or grating covering..... what? Net says:-->> Good effort, but not solved! Close tho'.
Alison Bailey - It's a honeycomb for The Hive from that Star Trek spin-off, the one with 7 of 9 in it. Net says:-->> Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yeeeehahy! LOL. Like that idea (and 7/9 too! Grin).
Paula Cook-Farkas -A beehive...or air conditioning filter. Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!
Ann H. LeFevre - It looks like some sort of light deflector, reflector, or diffuser, possibly a section of glass over a lantern or street lamp. It's a great shot because of the way the light is hitting it. One spot may look hollow or smooth and another solid and raised. Great game!! Sudoko for the eyes!
Thanks for popping by here. Your comments and interest are really appreciated.
Take care.
It certainly *looks* like one of those tubes of something where you have to pierce the nozzle and then the contents ooze out over everything.
