A fugue on bark

Today has been a day for reviewing on-going projects. I first did this shot in 2009. I have revisited it several times. Today it was a piece of processing that captured my attention. I like this for no good reason. It just seems an interesting tree. I hope you like it too.

I do indeed! There is one near me that has a similar fissure and a really spectacular fungus appears each year in it, bright yellow and turns pink then brown as it shrivels up.

I took a picture similar to this one..have to transfer it still from camera to PC. I find trees so interesting and all are so differant. great shot.
