Build in 1860 HMS Warrior is still afloat and is one of the exhibits in the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. It can be seen along with the Royal Navy Museum and HMS Victory. She is the only vessel left from the 'Black Battle Fleet' from Queen Victorias Navy. She is powered partly by steam and partly by sail and was the first iron-hulled warship.

Mr. Net, A great peice of history there. A question... Is the canvas effect a post thing, or, is the image of a canvas painting. If the prior, what software/plug-in/etc. is it that gives you the effect? I like it.
@hown - actually it is one of the standard filters in Photoshop CS5. I think it was in earlier versions of photoshop too, but I don't know which. It is one of the better filters in that software.
@hown - I don't tend to print except for competitions and when someone orders a print. In these cases I use a friend of mine who is also a photographer and has excellent printing facilities. He can print on canvas. It does have a great appeal.
Fab shot - my Great Great Grandad was a stoker on HMS Warrior in 1860. We had an interesting tour round with extra info on stokers though I didn't know at the time that he'd actually been on Warrior - she's a beautiful ship.
As we would say in New England : She's yar! This is super, Damon. And I have NEVER seen this kind of processing before: I love it! (And thanks for the bit of history.) Be well, Les
