A number of people have asked where this shot is taken. If you put the term "polbathic lake cornwall" into Google maps you will get a map where the words "Polbathic Lake" are in the middle of this photo (where the water is). I am standing in the hay field to the south of the words on the end of the extreme bend in the road the A374. The Viaduct is to the North of the words. If you set the map to 'Satellite' you will get a sense of the beauty of this area. By the way, the water course you see here is tidal. In the satellite picture the tide is out so you can see the boats on the mud if you zoom right in.
This link will take you to this location in Google, but change the setting to 'satellite' to get the best effect. Zoom in to see the boats... http://bit.ly/mVOgK8

How far from home do you travel to reach this POV? I think there are two viaducts in Connecticut and they are rickity old RR bridges. Beautiful sights you have, thanks for the visit.
Fantastic view. I particulrly like the bottom left corner where you have a triangular wedge of corn that leads the eye down the rolling hillside. I find that every aspect of the image has interest. Not a bit wasted. The more I look, the more I see.
so much to look at in the photo, love the boats, the corn field, the viaduct- of course - the lines made from the haying against the viaduct are really nice.
Thank you all for your kind words about this shot. It is one of my personal favorite places in the world. I have put some detail above so you can see more of it from Google. Enjoy!
