I like them both, but this one is more interesting

I prefer this one, it works better without the piece of timber in the background :)

I would agree with everyone else. This one. Cool shot.

Am I missing something or is the only difference the piece of timber in the top left corner of the other one. Fabulous capture though.

The link takes me to one that looks the same as this. If the lighting is different in the two similar ones, it's just not showing up on my screen. If it's cropping, then it isn't enough to make a difference, for me.

Awesome shot

@susiemc - No, you are right. That piece of timber is completely incongruous with the lovely finish and curves of the rest. It is very distracting. So I just had to take it out.

@taffy - Clue, have a look at the distraction tip left on the other shot...

This one is hands-down the better of the two. That block in the upper left ruins the other one in my compositional opinion! But I confess I had to toggle back and forth between the two for a bit before I figured out what was bothering me about the first one.

This one, definitely.

This one for sure. Lovely workmanship of this view creates more interest.

@olivetreeann - Yes, I made the same mistake. That is why I published this one first. It just bothered me when I finally realised what the problem was. So, had to do the second one. Well, shows how even a seasoned eye can miss things.

@netkonnexion How true! We just had a speaker at our photo club who was also expressing that. And then she showed us some of her "mistakes" and how she fixed them in Photoshop. Very enlightening!
