Yestderday you saw...
Sea salt crystals in a glass bowl. The glass bowl segment you could see on the left magnified the paper below and made it look like ice. Well done those who spotted it was salt crystals.

The sea salt crystals are in fact Maldon sea salt. The Maldon company is now the only salt production company left in the Essex area of the UK from what was previously a thriving industry. There is some interesting history here... http://www.maldonsalt.co.uk/History-of-Maldon-Salt.html
and some interesting pictures here... http://www.maldonsalt.co.uk/Picture-Archives.html

I hope you enjoyed the challenge of yesterdays "Identify This!"

@michelleyoung - thanks Shell, I was quite pleased with this one too. A mundane subject but I was going for that minimalist 1960s retro look in B&W. Think I got it nearly right. Grainy and slightly frosted. This is SOOC so the shot was taken to emulate the retro, not treated to look like it. Actually it looks better with the full picture - I had to lop off a bit to make it suitable for here.

@netkonnexion Net I think its perfect the way it is.. Simple, uncomplicated and soft.

My kids have had a ball guessing through your series. Carly guessed the salt crystals, and Cooper guessed the grape vine from the thumbnail. :)
