Identify This! No. 41

And todays picture is? Have fun!
More about "Identify This"... http://365project.org/netkonnexion/number03/2011-05-11

Yestderday you saw...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, OK, I think I got the idea! This one was too easy. Yes, yes, cable ties (zip ties to you American types out there). I think just about everyone except the honorable mentions got it - and I am pretty sure they did too... So well done everyone!
Honorable mentions to...
Paula Brumbe - Nope, not gonna answer on account of blurriness. Pretty sure it is your picture or 365. Okay, maybe it is the wine I just finished. Off to check my photo to ensure it is crystal clear.
Hmm, it may be the wine since I have blurry picture edges on my photo but blaming that on tilt shift app.
Net says:-->> OK so whats the answer? I'm waiting... Still waiti...zzzzz zzz zzzz zzz
Lisabell - I know! I know! Pick me! Pick me!! Nylon cable ties. (I swear I didn’t peek at the previous answers!)
Net says:-->> OK, I pick you! Yayh! Well done... (Gotta keep 'em motivated you know!).
Howard N - From here in Connecticut the image looks like a bundle of what we call "zip ties."
Net says:-->> NO... From the UK they definately look like cable ties. Think again! (Tee hee. Grin!)
Keith MacKenzie - I'll go with zip ties, but it does have a striking resembelence to the surface of an e coli bacterium under very high magnification.
Net says:-->> I definately did not see that one coming. Hilarious. ROFL> Great laugh at that. Thanks.
Brandie Moody - Rainbow handcuffs =)
Net says:-->> Bet you have fun after the lights are out... What colour are yours; are they furry ones?
Nancy Holte - Everyone is calling them zip ties, which I suppose they are but I refer to them as the "thingy-ma-bobs that keep your suitcase lock held together." A very scientific term, I know.
Net says:-->> Could be a doohicky award here. Hope your suitcase stays in one piece!
scooter - Ok, even though my decision making skills are perfect, I think I will stray and go with the crowd and say plastic ties, unless I wake up tomorrow and look again! :)
Net says:-->> Going for an anwer twice in a row eh? Clever strategy!
Juletee - Could they be roller picks? You know the old fashioned brush rollers that you stick the picks through??
Net says:-->> I have no idea what this is about. So.... NO!
Karen Hurd (hwy61) - Yes, those tie things...I use them on my luggage..figure if they really want to the security people can cut them and check my luggage...I also use them to hang my seasonal wreathes on my front door...so many uses!
Net says:-->> And so many names (and doohicky awards!)
Paula Cook-Farkas - So, to be different, I shall say that these are very colorful pricky sticks that diabetics use to check their blood sugar.
Net says:-->> LOL - pricky sticks! Love it.
Tashy - cocktail sticks?
Net says:-->> Yup! I can see that. But... NO. Wrong. LOL.
Shirley Chetwynd - Knitting needles
Net says:-->> Yup! I can see that. But... NO. Wrong. LOL.
Sue Wilde - Blurry coloured things
Net says:-->> Yup! I can see that. But... NO. Wrong. LOL.
Camille Bisson - Zip ties, or what others are calling colored cable ties. I steal them all the times from my husband to hold up my tomato plants and he gets majorly mad at me 'cause he says that is not what they are used for.
Net says:-->> Watch out theres a cable tie thief about! Drat, now mine have gone missing!
Kathy A - It has got to be a bunch of knitting needles
Net says:-->> Yup! I can see that. But... NO. Wrong. LOL. Blimey, my cheek muscles are straining with a fixed grin...
Mimi Ditchie - Swizzle sticks? (I think that's what they are called....for drinks)
Net says:-->> Yup! I can see that. But... NO. Hugely funny name though. Love that. LOL. (Swizzle - is that even a word? Love it. You're right it is a word. Just checked. Excellent!)
Thanks for trying everyone - an easy one! But you made it lots of fun.
See you tomorrow.
Enjoy!
June 22nd, 2011
Hmmm. I don't know the technical term, but I think it's one of those doojamafloppers at the end of a phone or computer cord that plugs into the jack.
June 22nd, 2011
I agree with the cat5 cable, or a telephone cable.
June 22nd, 2011
June 22nd, 2011
it is a vintage 1993 see through plastic case pager/beeper. I bet you were the coolest wearin that on your waistband. I myself had one until it fell off my waistband and made a huge kerplunk into the Texaco toilet bowl.
