Identify This No. 145

Get sharp! What are these things?

More about "Identify This"... http://365project.org/netkonnexion/number03/2011-05-11

Previously, in ID This No. 143...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, I hoped to mislead you by the unusual orientation - but obviously failed. So, staight out, it is an old ground-glass stoppered poison bottle. Pharmacists used to keep these on the shelf for making potions etc. The glass stopper is permanantly fixed in this case because the bottle carried a dangerous chemical from which the vapour is harmful too.
Honorable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Doug O. - Looks like a whiskey decanter plug. Net says:-->> Actually very close. But I have never seen a brown whisky decanter personally. Nevertheless they are made the same way. Nice try. A Doohicky award! Yeeeeeeeeeehha!

Paula Cook-Farkas - I am going to say this is a nut cracker, i.e., walnuts, pistachios, and the like. It's even designed to easily scrape the shells off the table that you crack them on! Net says:-->> Ohhh! Its gotta hurt having your nuts cracked! Personally I think it would hurt even more using a glass bottle stopper! LOL> A doohicky award. Yeeeeha!

Trina Holub - Glass stopper for a bottle of acid? Net says:-->> That'll do! Correctomundo! YEEEEEHHHHAAAAA!

Diana Horn - Glass stopper for a liquor decanter-hopefully good quality :-) Net says:-->> Or alternatively for a liquid you definately would not want to drink! Yeehaaa!

Howard N - Hemlock does not have the killer effect when stored in a clear bottle. So, it is therefore stored in dark amber, just like fine spirits...aaaargh! Ah ha! Howard has drunk from the forbidden bottle and kicked the Ice Bucket... LOL> Nice one Howard.

Sue Wilde - Glass stopper for a bottle...I'd like to think from some patent medicine promising beautiful skin and a youthful appearance. Net says:-->> Correct, but you would be looking anything but youthful if you drank from this bottle! LOL>

Mike Warren - Glass stopper. Net says:-->> In essence - yes! Simple. Yeeha!

Jane - Glass stopper for poison..... Mwaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. Net says:-->> Huge LOL A Correct answer AND a Doohicky award! Tee hee!

Alta D© i have no idea. It looks like a rubber stamper from here. =) Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!

You guys need to swot up on your poisons. Don't ya'all watch "Murder She Rot"?
[Wot? Me miss-spell something? Never! LOL]

Thanks for popping by. Hope to see ya soon!
