It was a sort of pressure valve. OK it was actually a pressure valve. It fits the top of a Prestige Pressure Cooker. Prestige have never bettered this model in 30 years. Stupidly they replaced it with all sorts of rubbish. The old ones sometimes are the best!

Sue Wilde - This is the adjustable weight that sits on the top of my pressure cooker. By the time Friday afternoon arrives it blows its top. Net says:-->> Wow! All week for one pressure meal? Just wow! But correct! Yehhhhhhhhhhaaaaaa!

I suspect that it could be the lens on an older camera, but it's much more unlikely to be a relatively new measuring tape.
