Actually, this one was the subject of some debate. It is in fact a modern Canon 50mm 1.2 LUSM Prime Lens. It is about 18 months old. So that should end the debate! Tee hee!

Honorable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Robert Zurfluh - Whenever I see a red ring, I know it's too rich for my blood (at least for another year)
But this looks like a fun rock-climbing wall for lego mini figures. Net says:-->> LOL. Like this. A doohicky award!
Rick Schies - Is it the end of a power drill, the chuck. Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!
Kathy A - At first I thought it was something camera related but then I saw the ft so now I think its tool related. Net says:-->> Nope. It is a lens, what you saw was the measurement scale marker for the Ft. scale for the distance calculator.
Tena E. Collyer - Binoculars? Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!
Beverly Moolman - Camera lens? Net says:-->> Yes! Yeeehhhhaaaa! LOL.
Sue Wilde - I suspect that it could be the lens on an older camera, but it's much more unlikely to be a relatively new measuring tape. Net says:-->> Sory of... A doohicky correct award!
Doug O. - Adjustment knob for binoculars Net says:-->> Plausible. a "Doohicky Award!" Yahaoo!
Serious illness in my close family and a severe workload has meant that I am finding it difficult to comment at the moment. Thanks for your comments and continued support. I love all the things you say and I promise to get round to all your shots when I can.
Thanks for your visit and all your comments I enjoy them all. Hope to see ya soon!
A marker pen which may be permanent or not
I think maybe it's one of those wipe off markers for a white board.
Looks to be a white board marker. I love how you postitioned your subject to take advantage of the negative space. And, your use of the light makes this image to die for. You have made a very powerful statement here and I hope you receive the recognition it truely deserves.
