I've seen some tunnel, subway shots on here and thought I'd have a go. We needed to keep moving to get to the station in time for a train so it was bit of a point and shoot and hope and see.....
@graemestevens the couple in the shot did look at me oddly for taking a photo in a dark tunnel.....having two small kids and my hubby in tow helped maybe?
Beautifully framed and lit. The processing is spot on. Some of the best street shots happen when you have already chosen the frame … you then wait for suitable subjects to walk into it. Here you have done that instinctively making use of an existing framing decide. You say 'point and shoot' but there is much more to it than that, as you have so well demonstrated. You have a natural eye for it. More please! This is a fav for me and if they (or at least one person) were walking towards the camera it would be a double fav!!
@yrhenwr yes I can see the bests shots are thought through and then are a waiting game. Need to be child free for that to happen but look forward to having time to do have a go when I am. Thanks for encouraging comments.
@newbank Amazing you can get shots like this (and the station one) when you are having to look after the kids at the same time. It will be good for them!
thanks for you comments on my photos btw. to answer your question I didn't really wait too long maybe a couple of minutes - its quite a popular running route.
Love it, it really tells a story and excellent choice for black and white. I just love black and white photography. A fav for me. Love the light at the end of the tunnel.
