I smiled reading your commentary about feeling cheered up today after seeing your image which struck me as so powerful and moving re a dark or sad event or cycle of life or something like that. Anyway, I really love the image and the way you've used the dark background to set it off and the square cropping with the circular flower.
@taffy Thanks. It may surprise you that this was taken on a grass verge. Underexposed it as much as could and still capture some whiteness then played around with the levels in PS. Bit concerned the flower was still too dark but your comments encourage me. Thank you.
