Day 2. Stewed fruit & Birds custard.

Comfort food. Fresh raspberries stewed and custard. Got to be birds. Got to be on the thick side. Got to be not too sweet. Got to be a big bowl full. Happy days 2.

@motherjane has to be birds and has to be powder. Kids have ambrosia in pots cold for packed lunches but it just ain't proper custard!

I think you have a possible photo series here Newbank. You could go blackberry picking tomorrow (still plenty aroound) and do blackberries and custard, then Sunday go scrumping and do apples and custard.

@newbank mmm! now you're talking - sticky toffee pud. I have a mean recipe but it feeds about 20 so good for a party. My son would choose any pudding when out if custard was the addition. Cash and carry sized tin of Birds in the cupboard!
