Dying Daff

A day late attempt at ONS attempt on minimalism.....Opinions? Found this lying on pavement.

I like it, cant explain why. Should be kinda sad, but in its glory to the end, the flower still shines beauty while even complementing the concrete :p

I agree, this is kind of tricky. A lily is always beautiful but associated with death. A daffodil, a true sign of Spring and new life, lying bereft and 'over' ... still beautiful?

Incredible , to compare this shot with my attempt. Look closely at the Tarmac and it is stunning to see the colours hidden there. I was amazed when I processed my shot, at the colours. Like hidden treasures, especially the blues, in the future I will hold Tarmac much higher in esteem.

Interesting shot. As for minimalism, maybe no background, maybe a few scattered petals on the tarmac? Just some thoughts.

I agree with Archie about the hidden treasures in the tarmac. The abandoned flower is kind of sad.
