My hubby found this little skink in one of my daughter's shoes in the kitchen. The cat must have brought it in but it's tail was healed over so it must have lost it a while ago. When hubby let it go outside it just sat on a wooden post for ages and let me take lots of photos.
My apologies for the mass upload again this evening. I've had a hectic week which I anticipated. But it culminated in my computer, with all my photos on it, going kaput on Friday. Had to take it back to the techies at the shop where I bought it. They had to wipe everything although luckily I had backed up most things onto my external hard drive! When I went to pick up my computer after they'd fixed it I took the techie a bar of chocolate as an apology because I got a tad cross when I was informed that the extended warranty I had bought last year with my PC didn't cover software problems. I was told it covered everything when I bought it so I got cross at the poor man but, of course, it wasn't his fault.
Excellent image. It's a good job your hubby spotted it inside the shoe otherwise it could have been a squishy mess :O Sorry to hear you've had computer problems, I know what that's like. Well done for backing up all your important stuff, something many overlook. And nicely done taking the poor guy some chocolate, though I would have been as mad having been told that when thinking something else :) Fav, too :)
I had to look twice to figure out what this creature was. Nice closeup. Very annoying when the warranty does;t cover what you expect but at least you had a back up. Phew! That's the stuff of nightmares.
