I started my 365 project on this day in 2015. This wonderfully helpful and supportive community was recommended to me by a friend who is no longer on here, as I was just starting to learn how to use my first DSLR. I can't believe a) how photographically innocent I was back then (I knew almost nothing), and b) that I'm still here! I'm very grateful for the incredible encouragement I have received from being part of 365. And thank you all for sharing your beautiful photographic art - you have been a huge inspiration to me and I am continually striving to be as good as you are. So, to all my 365 friends - real and virtual, those I have met and those I have yet to meet - THANK YOU xxx
Wow, six years at 365! Incredible. Well done. I like your style of photography (maybe because it's bit like my own I suppose) This photo looks really professional, the sacking material and the background go so well with the subject which is also well lit.
Happy anniversary. Think that's about the same time that I joined. Got to go back and see just when I did join. But it's been an awesome experience. Great capture and set up on this one.
Happy 365 birthday! It's a lovely image to celebrate. I thought I would only stay for one year to complete the challenge, but the community and the constant flow of people doing things I had never heard of has kept me coming back to talk and to learn. A most enjoyable hobby, eh?

A friend in Wales told me about 365. Ali and I were learning about our cameras at the same time so we joined together. She's fine although I haven't seen her for some time as she moved about 4½ hours north of where I live. She lives in a really beautiful place now.
@jon_lip Thank you. No technical set up here. I just draped a bit of hessian I bought from a fabric shop over a computer monitor and down onto the desk. For the lighting I closed the curtains but left a little gap, then moved the candle and holder until it was in the light.
