@susiemc@dawnee@agedrunner Thanks very much. I've only ever seen black and white ostrichs before so assumed this grey, drab one was a female so I googled it. Sure enough the females are grey because they sit on the nest during the day and look like a rock, while the males sit on the nest at night hence being black. Isn't nature clever!
