Seacity (My Southampton Discovery - Part 1)

The Seacity Museum in Southampton; very unusually for me I took a stroll at lunchtime, intent on photographing the clock tower at the Civic Centre, but the sun was in the wrong place and I couldn't control my converging verticals! Instead I rather liked the angles in this instead especially in b&w. More in the "My Southampton Discovery" series as work and weather allow!

ooh nice. I can be a tourist and never leave Sweden! Great. Cheapest tourism I know.

Love all the lines and shades of grey (no pun intended)

This works well in B&W. I have never mastered avoiding converging verticals as it's either a very expensive lens that architects use or requires mastering Photoshop as there is a tool to 'un-converge' them (I prefer Aperture!)!

The horizontal and vertical lines really draw you into the photograph works well in black and white

Thanks all , apart from the building I work it it was one of the first I got to "know" in So'ton and I expect will feature again! It's quirky and I like it. going to get an annual pass to the museum it houses for quick lunchtime trips! @photogarymac @emmadurnford @oconnor71 @huvesaker
