I took the day off today, cold much better, but didn't fancy the motorway at 6am this morning! Well I say "off" is as much as I didn't go to work. Luckily I had some stuff in my bag, so that gave me something to think about which made me feel it's not entirely a wasted day. Since it was warm and sunny I had a cuppa in the garden with Bob (to fill in some recent gaps in the project!) and Little D's best friend, who she had left in my care with strict instructions to keep each other company.
Little Doggie has been with Little D since she was in her incubator in hospital. He is a special little toy, they are best friends and used to go EVERYWHERE together. Then there was the curious incident of the missing Doggie in October 2010 - 5 days we searched for him. I had put a box on top of him under the stairs! It was awful, since then he has been confined to home, as we realised that loosing him would be too much for any of us. Unless that is we're going on holiday then he's in my handbag and is more important than the passports!
"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real." …..from the Velveteen Rabbit.
Aww! What a gorgeous shot and commentary. You look after Doggie now! I still have my leather monkey from when I was a kid. He's old, battered and coming apart at the seams but he is still mine and I love him dearly!
@steampowered is this an "I'll show you mine if you show me yours kind of thing?"…okay - you're on! By the way the Park Cameras course is on 8th March in London…..oooooh tempting!
@nicolaeastwood Tee hee! I'll whip out my leather toy if you show me your fluffy one... Go for the course. I think that you will be surprised what your camera can do in excess of what you have already learned. At least if it gives you a further inkling on what to expect that will be good.
Teddy has clearly had years of love : beautifully captured Nicola but something in my minds eye is telling me it borders on the almost macabre :) maybe just me
