Tonight on my drive home from work I saw four different combines at work - no finer sight at this time of year than the golden and green patchwork of our fields. It made me think of our friend's farm where I took this picture on Sunday - he was hoping to have the combine in yesterday, haven't heard from them yet, but I hope they did.
Harvest so far for them has been great; hay, straw and sufficient corn/wheat is likely to provide feed for the year ahead. It makes or breaks the profitability of the farm. I'm so pleased, they deserve it. x
I endorse all you say Nicola....all busy up here too & good that this weather means that it should be gathered in dry with a very low moisture content...drying it means expense! Lovely farm view!
