Cake painting

I have nearly finished making my husband’s 50th birthday cake. It hasn’t quite turned out as planned but it is pretty close.

It is a two tier chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry curd on the inside. The colour scheme is blue and silver and I decided to paint the top tier.

It also has marbled chocolate hexagon shapes on it. It has taken me over six hours so far to make it. I’m just waiting fir the paint to dry so I can attach the finals hexagons to the top layer.

Since I've been jumping all around your project I've seen the finished product and it looks as exquisite as "cake painting" sounds.
