Waiting for an X-ray

My plan today was to make another Halloween cake.

My reality was spending two hours at the hospital with my daughter. She badly sprained her ankle on Thursday and it hasn’t got any better. She had an X-ray to see if it was broken. Luckily it isn’t. I have to take her for an MRI this week to see if there is ligament damage. She is now wearing a moon boot.

ouch! a badly sprained ankle can be just as long to heal as a break. I know from recent experience! I sprained my ankle 2 August - its still coming right . the pain is gone - but its still stiff and swollen - def not broken but it takes a while - I was on crutches for the first two weeks and then we went into lockdown .. and still are! I hope she recovers soon

I spained my ankle on the Gibb River Road in June and 5 months later and its still not fully recovered. Hope she is alright.

Ouch a sprain can be more trouble than a break. Hope it heals soon. I am sure the moon boot will ease the pain.

Bless her heart! I am so sorry for her and you but so grateful it isn't broken! Not an easy way to get a photo for the day even if it is a great shot!
