My last cake order for the year. This is a special birthday cake for my uncle who is celebrating his birthday tomorrow for the first time without my aunt as she passed away in May. My uncle is partial to the odd rum so my cousin asked if I could make him a rum and raisin cake. So here it is in all its naked glory (naked because I took a lot of the icing away) with the rum balls on top.
I have just finished cleaning the house and still have food to prep for tomorrow and presents to wrap.

This is an absolutely spectacular cake as is everyone I have seen that you’ve posted here. I’m not particularly a fan of the naked cake but I understand with all that frosting on top how this could be a good thing. Your photo of course is terrific as always.
