Day 240, Year Two by nicolecampbell

Day 240, Year Two

I have been baking again today. The Christmas pudding is still cooking, it takes five hours, and I also finished my Christmas pudding cake pops. Only two more sleeps.
Very cute. Going to make something similar tomorrow.

I've always wanted to know how to do these! How do you get them so perfectly round? This looks so professional!

Ah, cake pops, there all the thing now. I saw some kits in the shops but thought they were a bit expensive and that you could probably do them by hand, if you had the patience. Or maybe I could just set the project for my 12 year old junior master chef. He'd love to eat them!

yumm!! looks great against the green background!

@tulipgirl - you can do them yourself which is what I do. They do take hours but are well worth it. My girls prefer these to cupcakes and they are eating smaller amounts of cake. If you want to learn more visit www.bakerella.com - she is the creator of all things cake pops and her creations are amazing.

I made the little puddings using a Lions fruit cake which I then decorated with white chocolate etc.. I took them to work on Friday. This one looks yummy.

December 23rd, 2012
@aspada - first you need to make the cake and then when it is cooled you blitz it to make cake crumbs. Next you mix it with icing and then roll them into balls and pop in the fridge to go hard. When they are hard you dip in the candy to coat them. They are time consuming but worth it. You can learn how to do it here - www.bakerella.com.
