Abanonded boat is our rendezvous point

I got up early today as it was meant to be -3 last night and I wanted to capture the frost and mist on the lake. When I left home before 8am the temperature was 0 degrees and it was grey and quite blah. By the time I got to the lake there was a little fog and mist. I took a handful of photos and came home again. I am still sick (I have a chest and throat infection I have been fighting for over a week) and this little outing has zapped all of my energy.

@onewing - I keep photographing this boat and unfortunately the red paint is disappearing more and more. I think am attracted to its sadness.

Stunning shot. Hope you get well soon. It's surprising how infections can zap the energy so take it easy xx

@psychographer - thanks Lisa. I am so annoyed I am sick because the girls are on school holidays and I took two weeks off work to spend time with them. We did nothing last week because I was sick. We are planning to have our nails done tomorrow and then it will be a few trips to the movies for the rest of the week.

A lovely capture, Nicole. But of course you had no business getting out in -0 air! I’m sure your body set you straight on that and made you rest when you got home. 😊

Beautiful shot, the faded red paint adds some nice texture and pop to the shot amidst the fog.

Beautiful composition. I agree with @louannwarren you definitely did not need to be out. I am sure there is a story about this abandoned boat.

we are stewing here for quite a few days now. wish we could at least exchange some temps to even out the weather. in any case, this shot has a sense of the mysterious that any moment now, i expect some kind of a surprise popping out of that calmness. aces!
