antique folding magnifying lens

Having a little fun shining a laser pointer through an antique 19th century folding magnifying lens. These were used for close up work, maybe jewellers, stamp collectors or textile workers counting threads. This one has the workers name scratched on it and a date of 1924. Rather difficult to hand hold a light pointer and maintain any focus!!
I love these old tools!
