Naked Ladies

It is midsummer and very dry, and the garden barely moves in the heat. but these 'Naked Ladies' (naked due to the lack of foliage) pop up out of the ground faithfully every year in February.
So beautiful and hard to imagine when we have -10 degrees and snow.

So nice Dorothy - colour, lighting and black background. Are these a type of lily! Native or exotic?

@robz Thank you and yes, they are an exotic lily, sometimes called Belladonna lilies, and they are extremely drought tolerant. Google tells me they hail from South Africa.

@nobled Thanks for looking that up Dorothy. They looked like they would be good on our rocky areas but we try to keep to Aussies if we can. Thanks again for going to the bother. Cheers Rob
