Ladies and Gentleman... I give you Batman and Stripper Elvis!
;p Well, i don't know WHO sparkly Elvis is meant to be, but my 12 year old decided on "stripper" (sheesh)...
Not a great day for photography around the house today... dreary day, mostly hanging out at home and doing stuff... however, in a fit of cabin fever i dragged the boys out to Jack Astors for lunch where this shot was taken...
This is pretty awesome! I love your focus and composition. The eye goes right to that curled lip and then lifts to the blue, blue eyes. The sparkles just add to the effect.
I'm a late bloomer Elvis fan. When I was a teenager, my mom waited all night for tickets to a concert and scored six. One of the couples broke up right before the concert, so she asked if I wanted to go. Um, no. It just felt too awkward, but then Elvis died a month later. Since then, I've been to Graceland twice. It's weirdly breath-taking, and so much smaller than you would imagine.
About the stripper comment from your daughter...you must wear sparkly things more often so she doesn't think it's just strippers. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Mother of three girls myself and I can not remember ever wearing sparklies).
