Wandering the Labyrinth by northy

Wandering the Labyrinth

This is the Toronto Public Labyrinth in Trinity Square... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_Square_(Toronto)

this is another shot I've been struggling to "get" for weeks now... people come here at lunch time and walk the labyrinth... it looks kind of aimless, and yet there is always a studied and focussed air to those who are walking...

This is as close as I've ever gotten to a shot that looks right... I'm not sure if I like the overprocessed look or not, but it kind of feels right given the surreality of how this structure gets used...

for the Street Photography Now Challenge - week 15: "Wander aimlessly most of the time" originally set by Melanie Einzig

I loaded another street shot in my other album if you are interested: http://365project.org/northy/just-because/2012-08-17

Tx so much for the great feedback on my push challenge photos from yesterday... it was kind of fun in the end :)
Great capture! I love the processing!

It's a form of meditation. I recently set a goal for myself to walk and shoot all registered, or found, labirynths within a 25 mile radius.

I had the most amazing experience in a labyrinth this year. Pretty cool shot! It looks aimless, but you are supposed to be praying as you walk it. I actually heard God call me to Him.

Excellent, I forget this challenge too. Excellent shot, I like the processing.

Is this what they call "low key"? I'm distinguishing between a labyrinth and a maze and have found out what is what!

Awesome SPN shot! your lighting makes him feel a bit more aimless, too. Fantastic.

I like it - but I know what a labyrinth is - we have a canvas one in church that I've been involved in putting out and using - I think the contrasts are great

I find this a very intriguing shot. It's the guy at the back standing still with his arms crossed. I'm continually wondering what he's doing.
