La bella push - mwah! by northy

La bella push - mwah!

@summerfield suggested i try food photography as a push... i think she thought she was being gentle ;p little did she know that i practically have an aversion to food photography... plus i haven't the foggiest idea how to do that soft light processing that often makes food look appealing... so - vivid colours and stark contrast it is... sigh...

on a more positive note, the Christmas cards are in the mail (so - maybe they'll arrive a little late - better late than never, right?), and i've actually started to wrap the prezzies!
Great ingredients. I am clueless about indoor lighting still. I kinda like the way you did this, though. Way to be different.:)

@amandalomonaco tx Amanda... i'm using an off-camera flash and that's made a huge difference for my indoor set up shots... i tend to experiment a fair bit to get the right amount of light... i think i had this down to -2 on the bright-o-meter...

I think they use a ring flash do they, or a big softbox? there's some real good food photographers on here.
December 28th, 2012
@chewyteeth i don't really know... i'd like to figure it out just to be able to call on that lighting effect when i want it... but i have to say, i have no aspirations to food photography... yes - there are some awesome awesome food photogs here... but i still struggle in looking at their shots... i just don't like photos of food!
