Thank you all so much for the views, comments and favs on my Union Station pictures from yesterday... I'm kinda bowled over by the attention these have received!
haha....funny how we are so uncomfortable doing certain things! i am super uncomfortable setting up shots....like posing things or people....drives me crazy when i get pushed/challenged to do that..lol. In any case, this is an awesome shot.
Some people like selfies...young, beautiful, flawless skined people!!

The thing about a selfie is that it doesn't have to be just your face. I think this is a very expressive selfie.
Hope you had a remote...bugger running up and down the stairs to set the timer!!!!

Great shot. Very much in your style with the light coming from behind you. Not sure why you are hiding your face. We might need to get Jerry to specify next time that we need to be able to see at least 1/2 of someone's face :). Great job

Awesome selfie. Do you think your husband or boys would take a candid shot of you like this ? Chances are slim so that's what selfie is good for. You will end up with couple great shots of yourself and have fun.
@bardejov tx Bardejov... well - this would never be a candid because i would never just be hanging out there ;p and of course, my family knows better than to ever point a camera in my direction (assuming they picked one up in the first place ;p)
Northy, may i be completely frank? You are amazing me each day. I think i wasn't paying much attention to your photography (it changed recently). You have some reasonably ok days, but you are having some WOW days quite often. That is remarkable!

You have to have a great photographers 'eye' to know how well this will work in advance, & then set up for a selfie. Absolutely great lines & composition. fv
This is awesome!! And for someone who hates doing selfies at least you know how to pull it off when you do do one. So I've got to fav it because I know you found it stressful and yet you did it just the same :) Way better than mine (which I haven't yet posted!).
This is an awesome selfie! But I'm with you on the hating to do them, hating my own photo, and simply pretending it never got drawn out of the hat. I'd actually remove it from the hat entirely.
How fabulous is this selfie!!! Creative, fun, full of spirit -- your attitude is showing perfectly! Sigh. I had the same feeling about the assignment, but not the creativity you pulled off. I admire this very much.
Magnificent shot. Love the lines and the highlights on each stair. All of which nicely draw the eye through the image to the top of the stairs. This is beautifully shot. I Love it.
@gabrielklee tx Gabriel... i never know what to say to these sorts of compliments... i'm really bowled over by the response to this photo and well, to be honest, kinda surprised i was able to pull it off (especially with my husband wandering around rolling his eyes at me!) i generally find things go in cycles... a few days where everything seems to click... and then weeks where i'm not liking anything i do... you DO have your own wow days, y'know - even if you don't always think so!

congrats on the Top 20. I love the lighting in this, the leading lines, the repetition of the stairs -- for someone who does not like taking a photo of herself you came up with a winning composition.
