@tigerdreamer technically it's fairly straightforward... 3 images layered... managing the light can be bit fiddly mind you... and for this one i've played around in colour efex a fair bit - partly to cover up a snafu with focus (shhhhh! don't tell ;p), and partly just for the fun of it!
@maggiemae hmmm.... someone posted a link last year, i think, of a photographer who got these spectacular shadow shots out of random abstract blocks and stuff... this shot was hard enough to do as it was... figuring out how to make a shadow out of nothing is quite beyond me i'm afraid! ;0
Me too -- I LOVE it! Can't decide which is better -- the photo or the tag. Putting this in my favorites cause it makes me laugh, and I'll want to be able to find it in the future. LOL
Instant fav! Saw it on the PP! How much of that shadow did you have to "manufacture?" This is creativity at its best! You have an interesting take on they"soft and gentle" thing! Love it
That's really creepy - I had to look again at the rabbit to make sure I was seeing it right! Low phojo? It's brilliant even if you have done it before!
@espyetta tx :). But I didn't manufacture any of the shadow... i have this metal rabid looking rabbit - I think inspired by Monty python and the holy grail (I almost titled this: "be careful, he might nibble your bum" ;p)... Anyway... The shadow is from that bunny... Layered in PSE w the soft cute n 'cuddly looking bunny... Not sure I'm explaining it that well... Little artistry was required... More a lighting and PSE exercise if you know what I mean...
@northy I think I got it. You have a metal rabid rabbit so you got the shadow from it. Then you layered in the "wee cute bunny" in the front of that shadow. I think that is pretty creative... So that is artistry of a sorts. I love it.
@3rdxoff tx AC! honestly tho' - it wouldn't occur to me to think of this as in Vivian Maier's style... to me she is mostly a street photographer with a great sense of people and place... this rabid shot is a bit of whimsy and PSE play... and besides, i think i already have 6 shots entered into that challenge ;p
I saw this before, but didn't want to comment when I had only seen the shot on my phone screen. So much better and funnier viewed large! This is excellent! :D
Genius! I just love your seriously off-the-wall treatment of a cuddly toy! It should probably come with a 'not suitable for young children or those of a nervous disposition' warning!
LOVE your tags, too. LOL
I thought you were sticking to streeties, by the way? I love 'em, as I've said, but so glad you found time to do this too. Just... wow.
