some detail inside the Grand Canyon... for some reason, they look like screaming faces to me (have i lost it?)... this was taken mid-morning, not at night - despite the black sky... the skies were a brilliant blue... i used the red filter when converting to black and white which produced this effect....
we hiked into the Grand Canyon down the North Kaibab Trail... i went down to the Supai Tunnel which is about 1400 feet down from where we started on the rim - about 1.7 miles walking... going down was a piece of cake... coming up was brutal... warm gatorade actually tasted good! my husband went down even further, and the three 20-somethings in our group went down even further still...
tx for the continued views and comments... i know i haven't been responding back much of late - i hope to get back at it once i'm thru sorting all these photos!
I definitely prefer the B&W. And yes, I absolutely see faces.
Good for you, hiking down. I was not up for a hike and we didn't really have much time anyway. It must be amazing to experience the canyon from below the rim.
@pasadenarose it's really rather unreal... i kept feeling like i was in the "journey to the centre of the earth" or something... except for the dinosaurs... and giant bumblebees... ;p

There is a way to walk down and take the mules up. Way easier. Good for you for walking it.
