@amandal tx Amanda... I just took photos... Herded the kids and tried not to get sick looking at the tipsy turvy rides... I prolly would have tried zip lining, but the line-up was looooong!
@amandal well - of course my one thought about zipping was: "would i be able to take the camera if i went?"... we took the skyride cable cars across the Ex and i took some shots from there... it was pretty cool... here's one :) http://www.flickr.com/photos/northy44/9648440930/
@amandal oh - and i was holding my camera with the neck strap wrapped around my wrist and i think i was giving the friend i was with (her son is a friend of one of my boys so we all went together) the heebie jeebies as she was afraid i was going to drop it
@atooner funny... i hate it... i never go... this was first time in something like 10 years... not sure exactly how i got suckered into going - we were invited along with some friends and the adventurous part of me decided to go check it out :)
Fav! Love the silhouette. Every summer, friends & I do an adapted version of zip lining for disabled persons. Tons of fun! My shots always turn out rubbish though.
Wonderful shot....I used to love the Ex...haven't been in over 20 years now (haven't lived near Toronto in that time either). I would love to go....just to relive the event...but man, I don't think I could handle the crowds anymore that your flickr shot shows.
I realize that this shot was taken years ago, but judging by the EXIF info, would you say this result was more because of the settings or perhaps you did some editing? Sorry, but I'm going to be at an event next week where I have the opportunity to take some zipline photos with my Nikon D3200 and I'm completely at a lose for what settings to use.
@mej2011 oh gosh.... Haven't a clue! At a guess I was shooting aperture priority somewhat into the sun... And then processed for a full silhouette effect.... I would chk my original RAW file, but LR gives me grief when I try to switch back to my old storage drive (something I desperately need to get sorted)....

Thank You! :)
