dang! i want one of that hour glass! how big is that sucker? i want something i can hide from partner. :-) the lighting is A-awesome, i'd kill to be able to do something like that. okay, not, kill, maybe.
@summerfield hahaha.... it's kinda big i'm afraid... bought it on mega sale at the Bombay company back in the summer... the lighting part is easy... i have this cheap-o gooseneck lamp from IKEA that i use (the one in my shot from Dec 3)... not sure i can explain what i do (it's mostly experimental), but i could show you pretty easily... i'll try to remember to do a set-up shot tomorrow or Friday...
Lovely definition and form care of the high contrast! It gives me joy to hear it is illuminated with a lamp, no plethora of strobes and reflectors, etc... :-)
It's a shame, but I had to look at this in large to figure out what was going on. Maybe my brain is just having a slow day. I'd worked out from the title what I thought it was going to be, but it took me some time to actually *see* it. Clever idea for the time challenge though. Please tell me you didn't do this in processing, and are willing to share the secret?
I wonder if I could reverse the clock, would I? Because I would just have to face this "falling apart" and "losing everyone to the other side" phase again...one day. So I guess I would just keep on keeping on here and now. Very nice shot. makes you think!
Happy New Year!
