I mind.............you've peaked my curiousity.
How do you get it so dark around the cell phone?
Do you take it in a dark room or is it processed this way?
As usual I love your creativity.

@radiogirl tx :). This was taken in an almost completely dark room... The penguin and the phone are standing in my iPad - using it as a light table (soft box app)
@rachelwithey tx... but oh dear... thought process? well... i had been trying to shoot the phone all week for the communications theme, and i hated all the results... then i decided i wanted one with the storm trooper staring up at it... kind of like looking at the monolith on 2001 space odyssey... only my storm trooper ain't too steady on his legs and wouldn't stand up when looking up... so i gave up on him and went for the penguin... but really... i have no idea why i decided on the monolith concept in the first place...
@northy Nice.
I used iPhone LED's for some gentle lighting while taking shots of pals up a skyscraper so we could see the city in the background. It worked quite nicely as it was quite nice, soft lighting.

Is this an iPad as an uplight?
