don't pay the ferryman... by northy

don't pay the ferryman...

until he gets you to the other side...

at the zoo there's this rather random marshland area... and there's this row boat... which presumably serves a purpose other than ornamental because... well, just because i have to assume that if it was only there for ornamental purposes it would be more... ornamental... ;p

but i liked it... and yes, i edited it into submission... removed unwanted foliage and a pole thing... plus messed with the light... and of course converted to black and white...

Great shot. I like the mood and processing.

Fabulously moody shot, all that's missing is a dead body floating next to it ;)

Oh how wonderfully dark and kinda Styx river feeling. Nice work. Such a hatters shot. I have one to post this week, too.
July 8th, 2015
Moody, yes. Dark, yes. Cool image!

Cool shot, looks like from a Hitchcock movie.

Super fab shot!!

I know the song. ;) I enjoy the "edited it into submission" phrase. Many of my shots have similarly flogged. I do like the light of the boat frame, poking into a boggy bank. Kind of Cajun and mysterious, which is weird, as it is coming from Toronto.

Nice processing to create the mood. I would never have thought this would be at a zoo.
July 8th, 2015
Oooh. This is rather dreamy. I love how it came out.

Now that's what I call a really great shot! It conveys a mood, is perfectly composed, is beautifully lit, has a complete range of tones… wonderful in every way. The work of an artist. 1000 x Fav!
