took the lens baby for a walk... still challenged in figuring out how best to use it so got almost nothing i liked... this shot was an accident... the cyclist photobombed me ;p
this ended up being quite low contrast, so will tag for my push challenge as well...
You're always telling us that the day was a photographic disaster... and then you post some fantastic dark and moody image. Are you trying to drum up sympathy so we all Fav your image? Well it worked!
It worked -- and I agree with what Richard said! Well done. Just back from dinner after seeing Star Wars. Gloom, doom, violence, and amazing special effects. Not sure how I feel about it, but glad to have seen it. Now I understand yesterday's post.
I know how you feel. I got a Lensbaby Spark this week and am really struggling to get anything I like. I like your focus on the leaves though and the really low pov.
Nice blur! I have a lot of trouble with over tilting my lensbaby and losing the sweet spot because of the crop sensor. Steep learning curve for me. For your challenge this week I thought it would be interesting to shoot something broken. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll find something different.
fabulous drama shot (funny to think of drama and low-contrast in the same breath). I can only imagine what the cyclist thought as he ran right into you!
I bought one of the early Lens Babies (the 3G) and despite buying it directly from the creator when he was showing it at the SWPJC in Texas I still don't use it very often. It is tricky in daily shooting. When used right they can be amazing - but I seem to always do it wrong.
