this was taken shortly before dawn yesterday morning... as you can see, the city was shrouded in mist... it only got worse and by the time the sun rose you really couldn't make out much of anything of the cityscape :)
So Northy! Blocks of light and or dark, scary detail but enough to tells us what it is. Love it. Very effective long exposure too. I don't have scenes like this on my doorstep but if I did I wouldn't get up before dawn to capture them! Fav!
@yrhenwr tx... but... are you sure you don't have scenes like this? because i generally think it's less about the subject and more about the light... back when i first started on 365 and was doing a fair bit of reading, one bit of advice i picked up was to start with the light... and then figure out a good subject for it ;p
@northy Many thanks.. no-one's ever suggested that to me! It could be the best piece of photog advice I've ever received... really given me something to think about. BTW I see I wrote 'scary' above... typos! Should be 'scarce'
