somewhere along the Ligurian coast

the Ligurian coast in Italy is dotted with these tiny towns built into the hillside...

i was mentioning in an image i posted earlier that my vacation shots seem to be crying for colour - which is problematic because i really suck at colour... for comparison purposes i have also posted this image in colour...

much as i agree that this coastline wants to be shot in colour, i do really like this also as i think it really brings out the structures

The structures certainly pop here, but for this scene, the soft tones/color in the other version grab me more.
