This is so pretty and delicate with all the fine dew sparkling in the light. Well done!

Northy – I have Lightroom Classic CC and am just learning to use all of the fantastic features of it.
I have a quick question … (well maybe not so quick)
I import my photos from my memory card to my hard drive through Lightroom by first importing them all (rather than unchecking the ones I don’t want first). I then choose the ones I want to reject, deleting the ones I do not want with ‘remove from disk’ so they do not go on my hard drive, and then developing the ones I want to upload to 365 and export the developed one to my hard-drive – then on up to 365.
The problem I have is I have to format my memory card every time otherwise I end up importing photos that were rejected in the previous session but not deleted from the memory card. I then have to go through the process of unchecking those photos – and there are a lot of them at times – before importing my new session.
Is there a more efficient way of doing this – like having my rejected photos deleted from my memory card at the same time as removed from disk?
Or perhaps, can I uncheck photos and reject that way rather than go through the process of rejecting them? And, if this is the case, does LR remember which photos on my memory card are unchecked and not import them every time?
Am I making sense?
Thanks so much for all your help!

@farmreporter so - i think the easiest thing is that when you are importing photos, you can click on the box to the right that instructs LR to NOT import suspected duplicate photos... that way, you would only import photos that aren't already in LR... the one problem with this is that if you've deleted a photo from LR, and it's still on your camera card, LR will import it again...

what i usually do when importing is "uncheck all", and then click on only the photos i want to import... it's pretty easy to do a range of photos - you don't have to click on every single photo if you want to import, say, the last 50 photos you took...

i thought there was a way to instruct LR to delete photos off a card once you've finished importing, but i can't seem to find that functionality now... i generally just reformat my card every so often and not worry about it terribly...

hope that helps and that my explanations are reasonably clear... you could always post your question to a thread - there are many out there way more savvy than i when it comes to LR!!
