@johnmaguire challenged me to shoot something a bit more visually noisy or loud than my typical minimalist shots...
I got up early Saturday morning to walk through the local street festival (always so much better without the crowds and the enticing smells of deep fried everything 🙃) and captured this... it came out too dark and unbalanced for a sooc shot - hence the post processing...
Incidentally, John suggested i look at the following for inspiration... these really are amazing shots!
@johnmaguire - is this kinda what you had in mind? i considered taking another one this afternoon with the crowds, but i really wasn't inspired by the light at the time... and the crowds were dense 🙂
@northy Yes! This is great! I love those moody clouds - I can see why you'd prefer this shot to one taken later. Great capture with the street lights still on too. They add some great interest. Cool to see the festival prior to the crowds pouring in. :)
I also thought that your "indubitably" post from the 6th - while less "noisy" - made great use of layering as well! The mannequins and street light in the foreground, the reflection in the mirror behind them, the reflection in the glass in front of them... to the left - the interesting window panes and bars and the bit of street scene visible behind it.

thank you though 🙃
