Annually the city close the bridge to trafic (on a civic holiday) and allows people to walk the bridge. It's a fantastic view of both Halifax and Dartmouth from here. The bridge was first opened on April 2, 1955, and is named after the former premier of Nova Scotia. It costs a loonie ($1.00) to cross.
Lovely lead in lines perspective and depth of field, clearly not many locals willing to part with their hard earned money to cross the bridge, Nova, lol:)
@pcoulson@randystreat Thanks Peter and Kathy. There was a large group of people there, but in this shot they were all behind me as I went up to the commissioner and asked if I could take a photo before things got started. I need to clarify, it costs $1.00 to cross in a vehicle, but walking is free. :)
