Battle of the Atlantic by novab

Battle of the Atlantic

was celebrated May 1st in Halifax with a ceremony that commemorates the single longest battle of the Second World War.

We were at York Redoubt, which is located at the entrance to Halifax Harbour and the command centre for the local harbour defences in World War II.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
You have done it again, another fantastic photograph, and a good story to go with it.

Fantastic composition, and I love the black and white processing. I really enjoyed reading your commentary, too.
