This old tree holds seeds for the chickadees at my parents place in the country. Years ago my dad put the metal bar across the opening so the larger birds could not access the food, but the squirrels can get in without a problem. This guy did not come out while I was watching.

I did have to wait for a while to get this shot and my mom put some seeds near the opening to try to entice him out, but he would quickly grab a seed and hid back inside. He must have thought I was gone at this point when he popped his head out for a quick look and disappeared again.
